I Miss My Dad

Dear Dad,
You know I received a present from you today. It was my birthday present, I had a knock at the front door and it was a courier “Package for Mr MacKenzie, it must be signed for by him only.” I had to explain to the guy that you weren’t with me any longer. His face dropped, he said he was sorry and let me sign for it. I sat the package on the dining room table I didn’t want to open it at first. It was not until today I unwrapped it. Dad thank-you, it is just beautiful. I don’t know how you did it you have been gone almost 2 months now and yet you still amaze me.

Uncle Rudi took me out for my birthday we had a quiet dinner, until dessert when a cake came out from the kitchen and he had the waiters sing to me. Then Rudi got up (fueled with a few scotches) started to sing with them at the top of his voice, it was hilarious. We talked about you and Mum and how you would be up there together, I bet Mum is fussing over you right now. We talked about what I was going to do, Uni started back a few weeks ago. I am going to wait until next semester to start back, I hope you think that is ok?

Daddy I miss you very much. I hope you look down on me and are proud.
