I Miss My Dad

Dad, I'm sorry I was such an ass over the last couple of years. I acted likke a petulant child. I was wrong. There is an emptiness in you and mom's house now. I just can't believe that its real, how can you be gone? Dad I love you, if only I had one minute to tell you, one minute for you to meet Ashen. You'd like him Dad, he's a sweet kid. He looks up at me with eyes full of love and trust, secure in the knowledge that I'll always be there. I know because thats what I thought. I thought that I had plenty of time to talk to you. I miss you dad. I miss sitting and chatting, I miss watching startrek with you. One of the greatest moments of my life was after I graduated basic and told me that you were proud of me. I never told you but I'm proud of you to. Everything I am I owe to you. I love you dad.
