I Miss My Dad

Dear Dad

I cannot fully express how much I miss you Dad. There is a stifling, almost suffocating force holding everything inside but tonight, tonight I felt your loss more than I have for six long years.

It may have been the ‘Band of Brothers’ bringing back memories of what you must have gone through, it may be the loneliness of trying to survive in such an appalling world without the strength of such a great man to support us. Whatever the reason, you are missed so much tonight.

You were always there for ALL your family a proud, decent and honourable man and none of us ever let you know how much that meant to us.

I wish I could tell you what a shock it was on that Thursday morning to find you gone I just want you to know how much you are missed and loved.

Thank you for everything you did for all of us.
