I Miss My Dad
When my father died, it was at home with my mother
after a fight with arterial cancer. Many people told
me what I could expect at different stages. The
thought
I want to share with you is that you will feel what is
personal to you. I felt so much comfort that he died
at home, the way he wanted to, that my grief is not
as devastating as some. Don't feel that your grief
has to mirror your love. I loved my father immensely,
but I know he is well now, and celebrate his journey
to the next level of human experience. You have a
right
to whatever your emotions may be. Fathers are, after
all, human too. There are things they would have done
differently for you had they more insight at different
times. God bless all who are in grief. I sent my love
and healing wishes and prayers.
