I Miss My Dad

Dear Dad, In four months, I will graduate high school. I remember three years ago when Ben graduated, and that night, I had a dream with you in it. And I told you that he graduated and you said, "I know...I'm there at all you guys' big events." Lately, it's felt surreal either that you actually existed, or that you are dead. It'll hit me sometimes...sometimes I forget. It's the most awful of feelings to remember. I just wish I could have known you longer, but the ten years I did know you were the best years of my life, and I don't know how they can get any better than what they were when we still had you. Please know that I love you so much, and so do a lot of people. I wish that I could have grown up with you in my life, but it's not possible. I'm just glad to be able to call myself your daughter.
