MISS YOU DADDY... I read this at your wake, it has only been 2 weeks since you passed, and it feels like an eternity. It is so hard living without you, but I know you will still be with us every step of the way. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! A POEM FOR YOU DADDY, I LOVE YOU I love my father more than words can say he was my idol, my savior, my best friend. he helped me through each day I always felt safe because I always knew that I had a saint for a father, and for his family, there was nothing he wouldnt do As a little girl i looked up to my dad with the most adoring eyes i am blessed to have the most amazing memories and for that there are no goodbyes the memories will last a life time and that is how i will get through living day to day remembering how much we all love you who could forget the grin on his face that sretched from ear to ear a smile that never faded but grew more and more each year from fishing trips on lori's pop pop to just simply reading books there was no greater man in the world than my dad, and truly one of the best cooks! everything he did came straight from the bottom of his heart and we felt it every second, each moment with you was a genuine work of art. I am beyond lucky to have shared a special bond with you Dad The bond between a pitcher and her catcher is the best gift I've ever had he was more than just my catcher, he was my coach, and my number one fan a lot of grass has been pulled and some games you were banned with every pitch i threw, i felt you there holding my hand. through out my years of playing I taught my self the most amazing thing no matter how loud the games got, i could tune it all out, and I all I heard was my Daddy sing I would focus on the batter, and then I locked into the zone i heard nothing but my father's voice, and then the pitch was thrown it was like we were connected, our 2 minds became one you told me what pitch to throw, and then i shot the gun the batter never stood a chance, because WE were the best team it was you and I on the mound, truly living a dream! And to that I attribute my success because you helped me through with each pitch, every second, it was just me and you Thank you for all of the time you invested in me, I Love You So Much! I will always be #21, your one and only HUTCH! If you thought our bond was strong, you should have seen him with his Sam SHE replaced me instantly as his number one fan. They truly were Best Buddy's, two peas in a pod, no doubt! They couldn't get enough of eachother, She is all he talked about. They were absolutely crazy about eachother, their bond was so strong She knows you will always be in her heart, she can still hear your silly songs She had him wraped around her finger, there was nothing he wouldn't do he even painted her toe nails, and wore jewelry for her too they always had pancakes for breakfast, Joey D's was the spot they played together like 2 little kids and they surely laughed a lot It makes me so happy that my daughter was able to share all of the wonderful things of my childhood with a man who did nothing but care! The love between those 2 is the greatest I have ever seen Thank you Dad for making her your world, she was treated like a Queen! I promise you that your 3 musketeers will be athletes just like you Because each one of them will have a gaurdian angel to shine through Chloe will be the best pitcher, I will show her the way dont worry about that princess stuff, her lessons start today! Tyler is such a good boy, and also a lot like you So strong yet so gentle, so caring and funny too The only problem Seany will have, I have to say, is deciding how to make time for all of the sports that he will play I see you all of the time in him, and for that I am so proud I cant wait to see him on the ice, i'll be floating on a cloud. Your hockey star, your baseball star, whatever sport you pick i know he'll be just like you, his swing is just SICK!!! i'm not sad because I know they will have the greatest coaches in the world afterall, we learned from the best, they'll be coached by your 3 girls I want to be just like you, I want all of the kids to know that I will do all of things you did for us, all of the things that helped us grow. Like Daddy always said "You're a DiGilio" A true love is hard to find, and I was lucky to see everyday that my Mom and Dad found eachother, their love grew stronger all the way They traveled the world together, their love was so strong He took such good care of my Mom, he even sang her songs Each day he had to be home just to prepare her a meal Although he had some interesting dishes, each one was real because each dish was made with love, it was so cute, and special to see how much my Dad loves my Mommy I want to make a promise for everyone to hear we will always be there for eachoher all throughout the years your 4 girls will have eachother we will stick together like glue nothing, and i mean nothing will break us apart, and that i know is true!
