I Miss My Dad

How this site works:

Very simply. People email me their message to their Dad and I post it. I post messages as is. I will put new messages at the top of the list of links so it's easy for people to read new messages when (if) they re-visit the site.

Although the site was started to accept messages to Dads, I have received emails from people who lost their Moms, Grandparents and others. I am pleased that they sent an email and am more than happy to post all messages.

I just put a guestbook on the site. Although it is too soon to see how well it will work, I envision visitors using it to comment on the site and their experiences, and maybe even send a short letter to their Dad. The advantage is that the posting is "up" immediately for all to see (for those of you who actually sent me an email to post, you know how long it can take).

Self-indulgent writings from the site owner:

Maintaining this site helps me in many ways. I am especially gratified to have received emails from people who say that this site has helped them in some small way.

I am very lucky to have had such a wonderful man as my Dad, and I am very grateful that we had such a good relationship. He has given me many gifts. I hope that I'll be able to pass them on to my own children as they grow. In a way, this site is a gift from my Dad to all who might be helped by it.
