I lost my grandmother on Dec. 19,1999. And then lost my grandfather on Jan 28,2000. And I still can't believe they're both gone. It was such a shock to lose them just 5 weeks apart. My grandmother died of congestive heart failure and had suffered for 2 years. My grandfather died of liver cancer and was only diagnosed 2 weeks before he died. I was very close to them. They were not only my grandparents, but my best friends. I either saw them or spoke to them everyday for my 31 years. I still want to pick up the phone and call them. Every holiday and birthday is so difficult. I just thank God I have such a stong faith. And a wonderful husband I can lean on. I will think of them everyday for the rest of my life.
