I Miss My Dad

Dear Daddy, Dear Daddy, I don't think I will ever truly get over your death and it's been 9 years. It took my having a son to realize to what a fantastic father you were to me. It gives me great pleasure to see you in my son's face and body features; your blood so obviously flows through his veins. If you've seen what I have gone through in the years since your death, you know that I have sorely needed your presence and wisdom. I am sorry that Alan and I aren't on speaking terms but I think you probably aren't shocked at that. I don't know how to reach him. He needs you and mom and I know he misses you too. I love you and Mom and miss you both. I"ll see you when my time comes. Until then, I'll try to live up to the high standards you set by example and I miss you.
